Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited KS&EW is a Pakistani government defense contractor and military pot located in West Warf, Karachi, Sindh.
KSEW Limited is the oldest and only dockyard in Pakistan, furnishing shipbuilding, boat form, and general heavy engineering outfit. It has erected several weight vessels, oil painting tankers, haul boats, support vessels, landing craft, vessels, and submarines for the Pakistan Navy.
It also builds and repairs for a wide range of guests in Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, and the private sector in Pakistan. All shares of the company are possessed by the Government of Pakistan which is under the executive control of the Ministry of Defence.
It was established in themid-fifties as a design of the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation( PIDC) and was latterly incorporated in 1957 as a public limited company with its board of directors and managing director.
It’s equipped with a large shipbuilding hall, three- block fabrication areas, three shipbuilding places, two dry jetties, a machine shop, fortitude firing, and a oil installation, a 7881- ton capacity boat lift, and transfer system, and 13 parking stations.
